As one of the top sightseeing attractions in Hong Kong, the bronze Big Buddha statue is the second-largest outdoor sitting Buddha in the world. The Big Buddha can easily be reached on foot within a few minutes walk from the Ngong Ping 360 Cable car Terminus. The Po Lin Monastery was founded in 1906 and has a continuous history of over 100 years now. Surrounded by lush green and hilly mountains, Po Lin Monastery is located right on top of the Ngong Ping Plateau and is a beautiful way to enjoy the tranquil settings.

Tai O is a community of fisher folk who’ve built their houses on stilts above the tidal flats of Lantau Island for generations. These unusual structures are interconnected, forming a tightly-knit community that literally lives on the water.

When exploring the fishing village, you can still see the old folks making a living the old traditional way at the lively market which remains one of the favourite places for locals to buy their fresh and dried seafood and the shrimp paste which is famous of this area.
